The Master of Respiratory Technology (M.RT) is an advanced postgraduate program designed to develop specialized knowledge and clinical expertise in the field of respiratory care. The program focuses on the comprehensive management of patients with acute and chronic respiratory disorders, integrating advanced diagnostic techniques, therapeutic interventions, and evidence-based clinical practices. It prepares students to handle complex respiratory conditions in critical care, emergency medicine, pulmonary rehabilitation, and sleep medicine settings.
The curriculum combines advanced theoretical learning, clinical training, and research exposure to strengthen the professional competencies of respiratory therapists. Students gain in-depth understanding of areas such as mechanical ventilation, pulmonary function testing, critical care monitoring, advanced airway management, non-invasive ventilation, and cardiopulmonary diagnostics. Emphasis is also placed on clinical decision-making, patient safety, quality improvement, and interdisciplinary collaboration in modern healthcare systems.
