Dr. Sammita Jagdish Jadhav
Dr. Sammita Jagdish Jadhav is a graduate from the prestigious B.J. Medical College, Pune securing top honours in Pathology. She completed her Masters in Medicine and has been awarded a Ph.D. in Healthcare Management from Symbiosis International (Deemed University) under the Faculty Of Medical And Health Sciences. She has a vast experience of more than two decades in the Healthcare industry, Dr. Jadhav has contributed her expertise and added value to various Healthcare organizations, and Medical and Paramedical training institutes. She has been appointed as a resource person on the National task force of the National Initiative of Allied Health Services (NIAHS), Ministry of Health and Family welfare, Government of India. She has a successful stint in the industry and leads the Healthcare Management, Public Health, Nutrition and Dietetics and Medical Technology departments as a Director of Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences. Dr. Jadhav has contributed to the commissioning of the Symbiosis University Hospital and Research Centre, a 900 bedded hi-tech healthcare facility, and the Symbiosis Medical College for Women at Pune.
Dr. Jadhav is a recognized Ph.D. Supervisor currently guiding 8 Ph.D. scholars. Her thrust on research has resulted in a number of research publications in National and International Journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science journals, and her work on ‘Clinico - pathological Co-relation in Dengue Fever: A case study of 200 adult patients’, has won her the best paper award at the Mapcon Conference of the Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists (I.A.P.M.).
She serves on the elite Board of Studies, Faculty Of Medical And Health Sciences, Board of Examination and the Academic Council at Symbiosis International (Deemed University); and on the Board of Studies at KLE university; contributing to the development of niche, innovative and socially relevant academic programs in healthcare management, allied healthcare, biomedical, paramedical and nursing disciplines.
She has a keen interest in pharma management, and has been a key influencer in advocacy of Immuno-protective drugs. Dr. Jadhav has taken up leadership positions in Public Health advocacy, digitalization of the hospital processes, and contributed to promotion of TeleHealth and online healthcare education. Known for her exceptional talents in creating collaborations, teambuilding abilities, communication skills and leadership qualities, she is popular amongst healthcare professionals, industry and the academia for her expertise in Healthcare Management, Clinical Research, Medical Technology, Public Health, Allied health education, Biosafety and Bioethics, Laboratory Management, Quality assurance and accreditation. Dr. Jadhav has been invited as key note speaker at various conferences, and has given talks at various fora including at NATHEALTH, MTaI, AmRef, VIF, CII and FICCI.
Dr. Jadhav has been consistently working for the internationalization of Indian universities and is currently the Regional Representative – Africa; working in areas of Allied health education and manpower training in Medical Technology in Africa countries; especially in Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, and Burundi. She has travelled widely to U.K., France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Dubai, Oman, Singapore, Thailand, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Nepal and Srilanka as a result of her effort in Internationalization, education, skill training and Public Health initiatives.
