The Diploma in Maternity Care is a one-year part-time program designed to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills essential for maternal and newborn health care. A key focus of the program is to empower students to apply clinical understanding and empathetic caregiving in real-world maternity settings, supporting mothers through pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal care.
The curriculum spans a wide range of critical topics including Emotional and Psychological Support in childbirth, Medical Emergency in Maternal Care, Postpartum Support and Continuous Learning and Professional Development in labor and childbirth etc.
Adopting a hybrid learning model, the program combines part-time offline classroom sessions with hands-on clinical training in hospital maternity wards and community health setups. This flexible structure accommodates working professionals and learners from diverse backgrounds, ensuring accessible and impactful learning. The program emphasizes practical competence, patient safety, and compassionate care, preparing students for the dynamic challenges of maternal health services.
